Birthday Month!

It's May and you know what that means- it's my birthday month!!  You know how we like to extend our birthday celebrations around here and we kicked it off this weekend.
Nana D and Mr. Walker came into town on Friday afternoon and met me at school- a very good start to my weekend.  Friday night, my school had their Fine Arts Night for the lower school.  We did a short musical called Hats and it was very cute and fun.  I did awesome, holding down the top row of bleachers even though I told mom I was going to have stage fright.
On Saturday, we were all up bright and early because I had a 9 AM softball game across town.  We did well and won even though I only got to bat once.
After that, we came and rested for bit before heading out to the first of my 4 birthday celebrations.  I talked mom into letting me have my party at the climbing gym near our house and IT TOTALLY ROCKED!  We were all a little tentative at first but once we got going, there was no stopping us!

After my party, dad and Mr. Walker and Madeline's dad Mike all went for a night time mountain bike ride so Nana, mom, Madeline and I came back to hang out and swim for awhile.  Nana and mom enjoyed a few adult beverages too so it was a "win-win" for everyone!
Sunday was Mother's day and Nana and Mr. Walker headed back home.  Dad tried to make it a special day but he was having so much tooth pain from an ill fitting crown that he could hardly stand up.  He ended up with an emergency root canal on Monday morning and is feeling much better.  So mom is going to ask for a do-over on her Mother's day.  Just kidding- everyday is Mother's Day around here.....

So we haven't mentioned Devil Dog,  Ginger, yet.  It has been a two steps forward, one step back process with her.  Mom has had two nervous breakdowns since we brought her home because of puppy behavior but then Devil Dog rebounds with a few especially good days that makes it all better. Today is not an especially good day as you can see by her kennel cover......
It gets better, right?
